I've quit my job as a data scientist to go full time as an Indie Hacker 🎉 AMA!

Hi everyone!

I'm Phil (@philostar on Twitter) the founder of 4dayweek.io

Last week I quit my job to go full time as an Indie Hacker 😬 Nervous and excited at the same time!

I've always thought the traditional work week was both outdated and long (!) but could never find a job which was "near full time". So I decided to "scratch my own itch" and build the platform:

A job board listing remote software jobs with a 4 day work week

I started building 4dayweek almost exactly 1 year ago today and got my first paying customer about 6 months later. The website now gets about 10k visitors per month

Can't wait to throw myself at this project 100% 😊 AMA!

p.s. I launched on Product Hunt today :)

Congrats and wishing you all the best on your new journey. A lovely concept you came up with! How has organic channels (mainly SEO) performed so far? I see you haven't added "nofollow" to external links - was there a specific reason for that?

Thanks @ekuplu, appreciated! SEO has been by far my best channel, currently generating about 250 visitors per day 🥳 Mostly by writing (outsourcing) content on the blog

As for the lack of nofollow links, that's on my todo list, good spot :p
