Do you own any crypto?

Lots of questions here on whether crypto is worth it, etc...I have a simpler question for you indie hackers: Do you own any btc/etv/crypto coins?

Trying to keep 5-15% of my portfolio in crypto. BTC as the biggest and most driving coin, ETH as a powerful and effective platform, some USDT for fast and cheap transactions :)

  2. 1

    $XRP waiting for resolution.

I hold BTC,ETH,SOL,LUNA and UST. I have some shitcoins as well, but those were airdrops or I bought just for fun.

  4. 1

I can't be the only shit-coiner, right? right?

  5. 1

    Yes ETH, Solana, axie

  6. 1

Yes, a couple of blue chip coins. (BTC, Eth)

I have 80% of my portfolio in ETH that I keep on a ledger key and the rest in altcoin such as EGLD, MINA, BNB, CVX, SOL. I would like to get into NFT in the coming months. It's such a vast universe but really exciting.

I own crypto in so far as I need to use it (I send crypto for payments sometimes). But as for holding them as an asset in the expectation that it will go up... no. I'm very disenchanted with web3.

I own BTC and I keep my Btc in a hardware wallet. Theres a saying in the Btc world, "If you don't own your keys, you don't own your coins", and it's true. You can't leave your coins on an exchange, if that exchange goes down or gets hacked, you can lose your coins. That can't happen when you own your keys. So I'd implore anyone, whether they own Btc or an altcoin, to go ahead and get their crypto off exchanges. Part of the benefit of crypto is you are your own bank, and if you really on an exchange to house your crypto for you, then you aren't realizing this benefit.

Being a custodian of your own keys is easy too. It shouldn't be intimidating. Right now, the expectation is that cryptocurrency will be used by 2 billion people by 2025. I can't remember which source claimed this, but the point is just that cryptocurrencies are going to continue to be adopted, and we can't let Coinbase, Binance, and others be the ones who are responsible for the safe guarding of the coins.

I own btc and eth. Recently read an article here on IH that people invest in btc to the degree in which they trust the system and that toally describes me and me reasons.
