Hey friends,
I have been thinking about ways to help people get more involved with DAOs. The problem as far as I can see is that its quite hard to find DAO jobs. Either they are mixed in with jobs at regular companies, or they are hidden on a Notion page somewhere.
Either way, it's not very easy to find DAO jobs and get involved.
So, I built a very quick and dirty MVP of a project I am calling "Work For A DAO".
The idea is to collect jobs and opportunities to get involved with DAOs.
I built this very lean: Airtable and Pory.io for the main site. Zapier and Mailchimp are the two other tools I have configured so far. I am going to send out an automated weekly digest, but I need to finish configuring that.
Total cost so far $5 (for the domain). This will rise to $18 per month when the Pory.io trial expires.
So crypto people, my question for you is - is this useful?
Am I solving a real problem, or building something nobody needs?
Would love any comments or feedback. Thanks!
I think this is useful & could have a market or be a solution to finding work/contribution opportunities in the DAO space.
I think that most opportunities would come from referrals & or contributing and being invited to join the DAO...or finding teams early on.
In my experience - joining a DAO is interesting but it takes a serious time commitment to get involved ( learning the protocol, DAO objectives + fitting into teams etc.) so yeah - having a space where you can find opportunities as they open up can be uber useful.
Hey @satzen!
Appreciate the feedback and support. 🙏
I completely agree it can be very confusing to get involved with DAOs, so I hope over time this project can help make it a tiny bit easier.
