Trading money for money is far superior
I attempted to create a software SaaS company for many years, and had no luck.
Early in the pandemic I started trading options. In 1 month I saw profitability, and knew that there was something greater than what I was doing at first.
During the pandemic, it was really easy. In 2022 & 2023, it took me a lot more dedication and focus to be more.
I'm at the point in my trading career, where I can grab as little as $500 and turn into 6 figure within a year, and I work for a couple hours.
It was a great alternative to building products.
If building products didn't work for you? What alternative did you find that works best for you?
After-all we just want to make money.

Can you share the strategy you use? I'm doing something similar (but in parallel with my side projects), actually my low profitable side project are feeding my trading account, so when I receive $100 from my side project I transfer that income to the trading account (instead of re-investing in ads of my product). So $100 become much more in the long run.
My investment strategy is pretty simple, I have a watchlist of 25 big and stable companies, and every time that happens a drop in the value of a stock I check the reason of that drop, and if nothing critical (that affects the value of the company) I invest their and I put immediately a selling price for a bit above of the previous max-value. I don't put stop-losses (that's why I only invest in solid and stable stocks). Are you doing something similar?

As for tickers, 90% of the time I stick to $SPY or $QQQ. Mostly $SPY because I know how it moves.
That is not sustainable in the long run. The best and most consistent traders can make about 50-100% per year for over 10 years. I doubt that you are some how better than them :)
If you can turn that $500 to $500,000 then try to turn that $500,000 into $500m.
If you follow the account. I've already turned to $3,600 this week. A 600% return.
Most product builders here wish to make $500 MMR.
