2021 Fintech Trends

Hello Indie Hackers!

Unfortunately, I came across this community only today and one month of 2021 is already gone. Still, I would appreciate discussing industry trends with you :) It seems to me that BaaS, embedded finance, and buy-now-pay-later solutions are growing like crazy.

There is also an interview, where the co-founder of a retirement planning fintech solution, Jared Porter, shares his considerations on the trends in the fintech industry. Take a look if you are interested: https://wealth.insart.com/jared-porter-about-industry-trends-in-2021/

It would mean a world for me if you say a few words on the topic too!

Undoubtedly, modern solutions are very innovative whether they are cloud computing models IaaS, BaaS, PaaS, or even embedded finance. First of all, if we discuss Backend as a Service (BaaS) platforms, they are amazing when you need scalable server-side support. You just need to emphasize frontend tasks when you choose a BaaS vendor.

On the contrary, embedded finance belongs more to Fintech because of its properties. Actually, I am new to embedded finance and still trying to understand how its works through this https://geniusee.com/single-blog/what-is-embedded-finance-and-how-it-works kind of online resource. However, it would be great if you share any reputed resources here for a better understanding of embedded finance for large-scale projects.

By the way, I have used BaaS and buy-now-pay-later providers. In this regard, Back4App, AWS Amplify, and Pay in 4 (PayPal's service) are prominent names.

It would be my fault if you were referring to Banking as a Service by using the BaaS word.
