Mastering Marketing Chaos: From Miro Board to Notion Kanban | A Simple Funnel Strategy

When I started my marketing journey, it was a wild ride of random Instagram posts, tweets, and blog articles. Sound familiar? But fear not! Enter Miro, my trusty sidekick in crafting a simple yet effective marketing strategy.

Step 1: Define Your Key Topic Choose a key topic that resonates with your audience. For me, it’s all about creating content around one central theme.

Step 2: Content Creation Workflow On my Miro board, I mapped out a streamlined process:

  • Write a blog post on the chosen topic.
  • Publish the blog post on Medium.
  • Generate 10 tweets, one long video, three short videos, and five product pictures.

Step 3: Tech Stack Magic To bring this plan to life, I utilized a tech stack that includes Notion for writing, Mailchimp for publishing, and ChatGPT for content creation. Oh, and let’s not forget Buffer for tweets, iMovie for long videos, and Clips for short videos. Canva and Notion joined the party for creating stunning product pictures.

Step 4: Publication Strategy Thoughtfully decide where each piece of content will be published. Whether it’s your blog, Medium, Indie Hackers, YouTube, or the realms of social media like Instagram and TikTok, strategic placement is key.

Building Structure with Notion: Kanban Marketing Board

Now, let’s talk about the magic of turning your messy Miro board into a sleek Kanban marketing board using Notion.

Step 1: Organize Your Topics Create columns for each stage of your marketing process: Backlog, Writing, Medium, Indie Hackers, and so on. Push your topic through the workflow as you progress, ensuring a seamless and organized journey.

Step 2: Maintain Control and Structure Keep your ideas in check and organized. No more scattered backlog ideas — just a well-structured Kanban board ready to guide you through your marketing ventures.

Visualizing Success: Mapping the Customer Journey
To put the cherry on top, I created another Miro board to visually represent how customers navigate through my content. It’s like a marketing funnel, guiding them from social accounts to my Notion webpage, free templates, and blog posts.

Step 1: Identify Base Content Social accounts, links, and social posts act as the foundation, pulling in potential customers.

Step 2: Guide the Journey Direct your audience seamlessly from your Notion webpage to free templates and blog posts. Watch as they explore paid templates and sign up for newsletters, locking in their engagement.

Wrapping It Up: A Simple Yet Effective Marketing Process
In a nutshell, this strategy is about simplicity, structure, and a touch of Miro and Notion magic. No fancy automations — just a roadmap to guide you through the marketing maze. If you’re itching to learn more about creating a Kanban board in Notion, check out the linked video in the description.
