How Mailmodo Created a Memorable Marketing Experience on Valentine’s Day

Every year, like clockwork, Valentine’s Day rolls around, bringing with it a flood of the usual marketing campaigns – you know the ones, filled with heart emojis and love quotes.

Picture this: the typical Valentine’s Day email lands in your inbox, promising the moon and stars (and maybe a discount on heart-shaped chocolates).

It’s all well and good, but let’s face it – it’s been done a million times before.

So, the team at Mailmodo decided to take things up a notch. We wanted to help our clients stand out this valentine's day. As we explored ideas, the nostalgia of our school days struck a chord.

Remember the flames game we played in school where we wrote our names with that of our crush in our notebooks to check the compatibility by calculating flames? Yes! Well, we wanted to help our customers recreate that memory inside their email campaigns.

And that's what led to the creation of the Flames Game Email Template.

We created an AMP widget - the flame game calculator. With just a few clicks, users could enter two names and play their favorite old game within the email itself.

It was unique, it was engaging, and most importantly, it allowed our clients to help their subscribers celebrate love with their special ones in a new way. Not only does it make the emails interactive, but also makes them memorable and leaves a lasting impression.

One of our clients , Snitch, has already tried the email for their V-Day marketing campaign. They saw a great result with a 3X increase in CTR!

“The widget added a whole new level of excitement to our campaigns!” , says Niketh from Snitch.
