Higher bounce-rate? Too many "outbound" links? What can be done?

Maybe I am just growing old, maybe I have been on this site too much.
Back in the day when @Primer used to roast every post, I felt like there was knowledge to share...and learn from...or at least conversate.
Today I feel like there are way too many outbound links being shared to sites like "techcrunch" or other large media outlets.

Look for example at this search result: https://www.indiehackers.com/search?q=techcrunch&s=recent

Recent posts that have techcrunch in the body somewhere / or comments.
Why are we linking out so friggin' much? Can't we just have a conversation? People know how to "google" topics if it's a good topic...or they can simply comment if they know about the topic. Can we eyes + traffic on IH?

Hot-take

Maybe you should NOT be able to post "clickable" links until you earn enough karma + stayed on the site enough time.
Or maybe detect if it's techcrunch or theverge or some other outlet, being spammed and alert the user?
Thoughts?
