As Indie Hackers, I think we're all fairly accustomed to thinking in extremes when it comes to our work and projects.
Devs think about the most obscure edge cases to try to account for them. Entrepreneurs think about dream scenarios and product market fit (shout out to @JOHANOCKLINDdotCOM) to aid in future planning.
But do we do this enough for our own personal and professional development?
It could be the nostalgic reflection that seems to come on at the end of the calendar year but I'm giving this some thought and figured I'd share the prompt to see how others react too.
I asked myself two questions:
Going to post what I come up with in a comment soon, hoping you do the same!
Was watching masterclass and Elaine Welterotii mentioned Zone of Genius, basically the things that you are exceptional in terms of: passions, gifts, skills, and values.
My superpower is IQ and my weakness is EQ (though I am more middle ground these days)
Hey Steve and thanks for the shout out!
My Greatest Superpower is that I'm a doer. If I want something to happen, I'll make it happen. No procrastination, no excuses, I'll just do it.
My Biggest Weakness is that I try to be good at everything, which I'm obviously not. I've realized I suck at design and have stopped doing that for example. But I need more work on this area for sure.
Just shared what I came up with at https://www.indiehackers.com/post/greatest-superpower-and-biggest-weakness-response-5524895b46
