Payment gateway suggestion

Hi, Does Anyone have suggestions for a payment gateway to accept international payments ( for a side project ) without registering LLC / Pvt?

Hey did you get the desired result, I'm also stuck on the same problem.
First time into all the awesome stuff

PayPal: PayPal is one of the most popular payment gateways that allows businesses to receive payments from customers worldwide. You can create a PayPal account using your personal details and link it to your website or online store to accept payments.

I have some experience with this.

    1. Razorpay allows you to accept international payments through both paypal and credit cards. It is not enabled, when you signup. After your account is approved (takes few hours). You can apply for international payments.

I think it is the same for Payu. You should have your KYC docs like PAN, AADHAR, DRIVING LICENCE, VOTER ID or PASSPORT ready.

    1. Stripe also has it but, you need to be a propietorship, LLC, Pvt. Ltd. etc to get it.

I think being a business gets you international payment quite easily.

Not sure about restrictions in India, but I had the same problem in Croatia a few years ago before Stripe even became available for businesses here.

We made a workaround by opening a Transferwise account that was connected to Stripe, we had no LLC or any kind of entity registered and were able to accept payments, maybe that helps you, of course, check the legality of it in India if you can.

Ohh thats brilliant , I will check if this is possible. If possible .. would be the best solution so far ! Thank you ..

Stripe is actually throwing error "As per Indian regulations, only registered Indian businesses (i.e. sole proprietorships, limited liability partnerships and companies, but not individuals) can accept international payments. More info here: https://stripe.com/docs/india-exports"

I have used Paddle in the past, so I am sure it is possible !

You may want to take a look at https://flurly.com. It looks like they built their tool for the people who want to keep their gig simple without establishing a legal entity.

I haven't used them yet, but they seem decent

Thank you will look into it

Is this for a SaaS? If so, try Paddle.

    1. 1

Yes, It is for SaaS. That has been my first choice since ages, but when I applied for domain verification, they blocked my account without warning. I got a mail saying they cant validate the account because it involves "Human service". Not allowing the domain is understandable but I don't understand why block the account.

I am trying to offer a single place to see Tweets / recent News Articles and such from Journalists, so that an individual or company can quickly filter though the list & approach the relevant journalists.

I guess blocking the account is in response to not reading their policies. Just like Google suspends the account.

        1. 1

Yes I agree, I am completely fine with not allowing the service ( based on what they think is good policy for their company ) , but in my opinion blocking account was a bit harsh. As an Indie maker this is not the first or last product I will make.

Hence it is not suggested to other makers from my point of view at-least.

As far as I know stripe.com also works with non incorporated companies.

No it is not working, I was also relying on it, but sadly I cant accept International Payment without registering LLC or something similar.

      Error Message :

thread 'actix-rt:worker:2' panicked at 'called Result::unwrap() on an Err value: Stripe(RequestError { http_status: 400, error_type: InvalidRequest, message: Some("As per Indian regulations, only registered Indian businesses (i.e. sole proprietorships, limited liability partnerships and companies, but not individuals) can accept international payments. More info here: https://stripe.com/docs/india-exports"), code: None, decline_code: None, charge: None })', src/models/user.rs:481:62

Yes, Stripe does not allow to accept payments in non INR currency if you have not registered a company. Essentially they need the import code which you can only obtain when you register the company. I am facing this same issue. Paddle would work, however if you are using some integration that needs to support paddle. Apart from this you can also use gumroad to only accept payments and zapier to integrate and register the customers.

Thank you for the suggestion , I will look into it ! I am also trying to get account from RazorPay ( They seem to be allowing for individuals )

Great, that should work as well. However I do not think they are very great when it comes to accepting payments in non inr. You can also check instamojo and 2checkout.
