Airtable tips

How have you used Airtable and what's the one trick you discovered that makes your workflow 10x better?

    Well, I'm a developer, so I use Airtable as a database with a straightforward API. I also love the slick frontend, I mean the tables UI enabling me to filter, sort and group records. For example, I'm using it to collect and analyze data about Shopify apps.

      I really like that you're using it as a way to track metrics as well as information. In this use case, do you find that there's anything you wish Airtable would have? I.e. in Excel you could do function / calculation quite effortlessly so I image for different types of metrics (i.e. # downloads or visits) finding a median or average might be useful?

        These summary metrics are available in Airtable too! If you look at the screenshot in my previous comment you can notice that there is Avg (average) and Mdn (median) for each group as well as at the bottom summarizing all records. You can choose from Sum, Average, Median, Min, Max, Standard Deviation, and more. You just select from a drop down. No need to write formulas.
