Do you use Apple Notes for writing drafts of your posts?

Anyone here uses Apple Notes as a primary tool to capture ideas and to write long form content?

As a primary tool, I use Notion. But for some quick notes, I always open up Apple Notes.

makes sense. Feels like a popular setup.

I use iA Writer. It’s clean, simple and you can send a draft to Wordpress or Ghost or other platforms with a click. And it now has wikilinks ;).

I use everything—apple notes, notion, google docs, etc. Granted, it's not the best because my ideas are all over the place and stuff—but that's what I use and I can't stick to one lol

I quite enjoy switching around apps, too! Using a different app feels like writing in a different notebook and a fresh start, of some sorts!

Yes, I use Apple Notes for writing drafts of my posts. It's a great way to keep track of my ideas and make sure that I don't forget anything when I'm writing.

    For short content: Notion
    For long form: Google Docs

As we develop era.sh - a markdown note-taking tool for developers, I use it basically for everything.

    • Blogs
    • Social Media Posts
    • Documentation
    • Snippets
    • Meeting Notes

    and many more things.

It really depends on your circumstances.

If you have an iPhone and are driving, for example, you could use "Hey Siri" and soeech-to-text to quickly outline a draft.

I use Notes for taking quick notes simply because I use an iPhone and it's the most convenient app to use. For longer posts I usually sit on my PC and use the platform editor (Wordpress, etc.)

I do similar with Voice memos. Record memo and save it as a note.

Honestly, it's hard to beat OneNote.

That said, on apple platforms, I do use notes to write some quick notes that I need between my iphone/mac.

Anything productivity related, I default to office. I am even thinking to just use the free office online because if I want my site to share some stuff (ppt, xls, docs, pdf, etc), I can easily do that, fully integrated.

I also use keynotes, pages, numbers, but the issue is that they can't convert back to office format where as office format can easily convert to keynotes, pages, numbers...

Totally agree on the issue of integration with other tools.

Wanna test now what is the integration between Apple Notes and other Mac specific Apple tools.

Apple typically have built-in porting from other format to apple format. but not from apple format to another.

I usually use Google Drive, then I type it up into markdown for my Hugo blog.

I've used to do the same but with Dropbox. Had this setup for a few years.
