Ionic alternatives?

Any recommendations for frameworks to create cross-platform apps? I have used Ionic in the past which was cool as I have a good understanding of angular. This was a few years ago so wanted to tap the collective IH wisdom before jumping back in!

What’s your reasoning behind coming away from Ionic?

Compared to a few years ago it’s came on leaps and bounds.

You can build with anything and apply magic with capacitor Js for cross platform and native functionality.

Ionic and capacitor is a great combo. I specialise in react and run the https://ionicreacthub.com site!

      Hi Alan,
I also prefer Ionic, by the way I checked your site, it looks very cool. Thanks for your lessons

No reason, I actually really liked it. Been away from mobile dev for a couple years so just wanted to see what the other options are. Will check out your site.

React Native - great community support, lots of libraries available, very stable (used by most Fortue 500 companies), less learning curve (if you already know javascript - in the case of Flutter you again have to learn Dart) and you can find talent easily.
We have shifted to React Native from Flutter - no regrets so far.
Our app is live in playstore as well.

Just try Flutter. Although you will need to learn another lenguaje (Dart) it is totally worthy. Besides it is backed by Google.

I've used Flutter a lot, my first version of Introspekt was built with it. I would recommend that you also look at React Native.

React Native is more popular right now, Shopify uses it and I think AirBnB used to use it. So, it's pretty huge.
Flutter is also used by some SMBs and will be used with Fuchsia OS which could skyrocket its popularity.

Both are good and have very friendly communities. I suggest you look at the features of both and choose the one that works best for you.

Thanks, don't know too much about Flutter. Will have a look.
