I joined Twitter back in 2008. Unfortunately, I wasn't very active and didn't try to grow my following. It seems that back then, gaining followers was not as challenging as today.
In 2018 I started using Twitter to follow other IH but had no idea how to get people to follow me. I just tweeted about random things that interested me and hoped for the best. But after a while, I realized that wouldn't work if I wanted to grow my account.
I needed a plan.
So, I set some goals for myself and came up with a strategy. First, I made sure my profile was complete and included a good photo and bio. Then, I started tweeting interesting content that my target audience would appreciate. And finally, I started sharing more about the projects I am working on.
It took some effort, but after a few months, my number of followers had grown. Currently, I have 1,743 followers, with a goal to get to 2,000 by the end of 2023. Unfortunately, I haven't focused as much on growing Twitter as I would have liked. What are your tips for gaining followers?
