First 5$ from Gumroad!
Today I just made my first 5$ from Gumroad. 🥳
I know it's almost nothing, but after my failed launch, I consider this as a win :) It really helped me to regain my motivation.
The best part? Well, the product is actually pay-what-you-want. And 9 people already bought it before for free.
I am happy that people even get it for free but making actual sales made me happier :)
Ah, the reason I made it "free" actually the trust. I was sure that other indie makers who can afford and see the benefit will pay. And I wanted to give some headstart to those people who are just starting because I know how hard it is to find premium-grade tools, content, templates when you start from zero.
Anyway, I take this as a good start to 2021 🚀 My first product made 5 upvotes on PH and 5$ revenue :) Now I have some metrics to beat with my next product.

I started to side-hustle to keep my sanity and lower my stress. And believe it or not, that 5$ gives you a mental relieve. Seeing that other people care to pay your stuff is priceless. 🚀

Thanks, I am actually on my third sale now. 🥳 Well, i plan to create some short form content on Twitter to get some exposure but I don't rush.
The first sale was 100% organic or did you promote your gumroad link somewhere?
Before the first sale i just shared over my Twitter and launched over PH, IH and HN. Non of them worked to be honest :) And the first sale is organic.
