30% of the equity is available to the candidate who can take care of the planning and expenses related to marketing.

Devil is in the detail -

30% of the equity is available to the candidate who can take care of the planning and "expenses related to marketing".

Basically, he built an app (a prototype) for cheap but expects someone else to not only plan and launch his marketing campaigns but also "pay" for them. And a CAC for a app like this can run into $100s of dollars.

Gotta give him credit for trying.

I appreciate your feedback, and I understand your concerns about the setup. Offering equity to attract a marketing co-founder is a strategic decision, particularly in the early stages when resources can be limited. The 30% equity reflects the value we place on marketing expertise, recognizing its critical role in bringing this app to market effectively.

I understand that asking the co-founder to contribute to both the planning and the financial side of marketing is a significant ask. However, I see this as an opportunity for the right candidate to take ownership and drive growth from the ground up. I'm looking for a marketing guru who wants to start a venture by partnering with a reliable tech co-founder, bringing together complementary skills to create something impactful.

Rest assured, our focus remains on ensuring the value proposition of the partnership is clear and fair, and I appreciate the perspective you’ve shared. We're committed to making this venture a success, and any additional insights or suggestions are welcome.

Yeah Right! Have you done your CAC? Do you have an estimate on how much financially this person is required to contribute? What if there are cost overruns? Who will be making up for that? More importantly, how much of your own money have you invested and for what percent of equity? This should not include your own time or the personal/work computer you used to prototype. I am talking about hard cash. How many employees do you have and what is the burn rate? Please post these figures here with the proof of investment so that you can really justify your ask for investment instead of the whole pitch you just threw as a reply to my comments.

Bro nobody is talking about investment here . The equation is simple - If you are a marketing expert , please bring your skills to the table but dont ask me for money and I will bring the tech skills and product development to the table without asking money. will you be kind enough to share where you are getting this profound critic knowledge from ? other than just poking fun at others efforts , You are acting as if you have developed succesful products and hit the market already (if not - which i'm guessing you are losing out because of this mentality).

Haha! You are Funny! "30% of the equity is available to the candidate who can take care of the planning and expenses related to marketing." - Expenses means the person is required to spend money, else you would have said "we have funding for the marketing expenses - need expertise and you will get X% in lieu of salary". Don't worry about my losing out. Worry about yourself. Let me say something that might be easier for you to understand - "People on this forum are not stupid". If you don't know how to market your product, it also means that you don't know how to research the market for your product either. Because if you have done your market research, then you know who to sell the product, how and where. By making personal attacks or getting defensive in your responses you are only listening to yourself. Just remember, you are asking others to join your dream not the other way around.

Well if people had money to run the company , they would not be here and you would not be here. This is a place where Indie people try to create the future . I'm clearly stating that I need marketing help and you are constantly poking at the verbiage.

If you're seeking a marketing co-founder for your p2p mental wellness app, consider exploring strategic partnerships, such as integrating Disrupt Technology's crypto debit card white label loading platform. While it may seem unrelated at first glance, offering this financial solution within your app can attract users seeking convenient and secure ways to manage their finances, including expenses related to mental wellness. As users engage with your app and recognize the added value of accessing the card, they'll be more inclined to make purchases, ultimately driving revenue for your app. It's a realistic approach to expanding your app's offerings and attracting users who will see the benefit of utilizing both the app and the card for their mental wellness needs.

    Hi,

I'm currently creating a database of co-founders to make it easier for us to connect with each other. If you'd like to be included, please add yourself to this list: https://tally.so/r/3XDaLd

    Thanks,
