Looking for contracting web designer

Hi there,

I am running a small startup Launch Platform and also building variants of products, such as Monoline and BeanHub. I need a contracting web designer to help me design and build web pages.

You should be able to

  • Design the web pages with Figma and communicate with me about the design via writing in English
  • Capable of translating your web design into functional HTML / CSS as the artifacts
  • Familiar with responsive design and know how to implement them
  • Detail oriented and love to publish your design
  • It would be a plus if you know Git, JavaScript, Jinja2 template syntax
  • It's okay if you don't know but open to learn things would be nice

There's no limit of where you are at, we can work remotely, as long as communication is not a problem and there's a way to pay you legally and safely. It's okay if you are a team or a small studio with designers and developers. The projects are going to be case by case base. The next up project would be the company website for Launch Platform LLC, then BeanHub product pages. There are more products in my pipeline to be built, and thus more web design projects will be needed. While my startup is still very young and small, so the project is small and the budget is limited for now, but hopefully there's a long term contracting relationship can be established and I can trust you and give many of my up coming projects to you.

If this sounds interesting or if you have any question about this contracting job, please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected]

I thought you were looking for a web designer 🤣 it seems like you are looking for both a UI Designer and Frontend Developer. It’s kinda rare to find someone who does both.

Though, indiehackers is a good place to look 😄 g’luck!

Well, yes, ideally that would be one person. Because that means less communications in between of the designer and developer. But as I know not all graphic designers (or UI designer if you want to put it that way) can code, so I also mentioned that it's okay to be a small studio or a team. Otherwise I will need to hire a graphic designer and hire a developer separately, that would be problematic because I will have to become the bridge of these two when translating the idea of graphic design into code. That communication costs would defeat the purpose of me outsourcing the job at first place.
