Where can I find freelance dev clients.

My partner and I have finished setting up a digital design and development freelance agency; https://studioix.agency
and right now, we're looking for clients.

We currently have one client we're working with on a chrome extension, but it's an equity share deal. We wanna find clients we can work with and get paid directly, hourly or monthly, working on something like web apps, twitter/discord/Telegram bots, desktop apps or just anything interesting in general.

I've cold emailed and DMd about 30 different people I've interacted with over the years, not any replies though.

Where can we get more clients?

There're several way what you actually do

    1. Reach out to your network.
Tell your friends, family, and former co-workers that you're freelancing and see if they need any help or know of anyone who does. Word of mouth can be a powerful thing! Also you could ask existing clients for recommendations and testimonials.

    2. Attend networking events
Look for events in your area that are specifically for freelancers, or events that are related to your niche. You'll have the chance to meet people who may be interested in hiring you or know someone who is.

    3. Use online platforms
There are a ton of websites and forums out there where freelancers and clients meet. A few popular ones include Upwork, Fiverr, and LinkedIn.

Regarding cold outreach — I'd suggest you to make it systematically. Do few outreaches a day.

But before that discover the target audience for your service. Maybe you could lead the niche of the extensions, or maybe something else.

I wrote a robust guide on freelancing, you could check it here . May be you'll find more helpful information for you.

So you think focusing on Chrome extensions as a niche or niched down service would be a good idea? But then where or how would I find people that need chrome extensions?

      1. 1

Well, I don't really an expert in the field of extensions. But I can assume it could be a nice niche if the market knew you as the best chrome extensions developers.

To find people from any specific segment you can start small, let's take as an example even those who seeking for extensions.

        1. You connect with them on forums like "how to build a chrome extension" or find them on Fiverr / Upwork as clients. And your goal would be not to sell them first, but speak with them

        2. Reach them out and start communicating. The main goal is to figure out who those people that need chrome extensions and why (That could be some persons from corporate that has specific task to solve, or digital products that want to find new distribution channel, or... the answer lies in conversation)

When sending out cold emails, do you think it's better to use your own email address or an agency email address to send out emails and not get tagged as spam?
