It's great to talk to you and learn some of your directional views on the product. I'll write down some simple thoughts here, more as a note to myself.

(Liberalization) From my very personal feeling about visual style, Teamflow is too dull, Gather is too giddy, and Vland may be a good compromise (as well as Cubo). Anyhow a big part of those tools is the desire to get rid of the so-called "Zoom fatigue". The cost of arranging a meeting is high, it's not only about the interactive experience, but more about the mental model. Video avatars, simulated voice environments, and other methods are used to reduce the sense of formality by imitating offline scenarios. From this aspect, I feel Cubo is still too Zoom-ish.

(Anti-liberalization)But on the other hand, Cubo is a great way to synchronize information. Remote work is asynchronous natively, actually, I don't think the most self-driven workers need virtual headquarters. Tools created walls for synchronization, putting members in the same space-time, which allows regular teams to collaborate smoothly in a more familiar way.

(Visualization)In addition to improving social support and creating more effective communication by increasing social presence, a major role of digital tools is the visualization of information, even for offline offices. Utilizing avatars, the scope of applications is greatly expanded, such as the relationship between people and people, people and tasks, etc. Cubo has successfully visualized meetings and has the potential to do more.

(Other areas)I think the market of telecommuting is a bit saturated at the moment, especially with the winding down of the pandemic. Similar product patterns should be also applied to online education, team-building, etc. and I'd be quite willing to explore further in other areas. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on that!

Actually quite a cool product idea - having worked remotely in large teams for the last 2.5 years I can see how this would be nice to have. Creating that remote first environment is difficult and collaboration can suffer.

I like your website design, but something that stuck out to me really viscerally. I really hate the fact you have a stone pattern floor in the app. It made me think it was some kind of dungeon crawler RPG rather than a modern and slick environment to collaborate in. (Design options are highly subjective but that was my first reaction, it didn't jive with the rest of your branding)

Something you could consider is how to help with async meetings. I just got done working for a company that went fully remote and then we were dealing with meetings of people in every timezone in the world, was a nightmare and resulted in late nights and early mornings for everyone (burnout ensued). If we could of had a way to collaborate with the teams in Australia from the UK without having to do a call at 6am or 11pm that would have been a no brainer to buy into.

Cool product though look forward to seeing what you do with it.
