What do you use for software invoicing?

I recently started work as a software contractor, and I have to send invoices twice a month. Right now, i just have a word template that I export to PDF and send it.

It can get quite cumbersome, is there a tool I can use to automate parts of this? Which also can remind me twice a month to send the invoice?
