I quit my job as SEO Growth Lead to work full time on my own projects. AMA!

Hello everyone, Tejas here.

On 23rd Dec 2021, I took the leap of faith and quit my job as SEO Growth Lead and left the corporate world for the good.

I always wanted to live my life on my own terms, control my future, and more importantly do things that I want to do.

At the point when I left my job, our other business CampusTrail was also already making close to $15k/month in revenue (Note: We are 5 partners & 30+ employees)

I was already drawing profits close to my monthly salary, so I had that cushion to take that decision.

Moreover, with the inspiration from Daniel Vassallo’s “Building a Portfolio of Small Bets” concept, I have launched 2 digital products (SaaS SEO Guide & Quorific) and 1 directory (Swipe File) over the course of 1.5 years.

Recently I have even started SEO consulting for some time.

I also invested a lot of my time after 9-5 on scaling our business, CampusTrail (which is a consulting firm for overseas education)

Currently, I am working on starting 1 Micro SaaS & 1 Long Term SaaS Product with one of my acquaintances I made on Twitter (He will handle the technical things).

My goal is to at least sell 1-2 SaaS products this year on MicroAcquire and build a long-term profitable SaaS business.

Let’s see how that goes. Feel free to ask me anything about my job transition, SEO, or even marketing. Happy to help.

Btw, don’t forget to follow me on Twitter as I share my journey. My DMs are always open :)
