Pretty quiet on the event front for next week as we all celebrate the end of 2020. 🥳 Hope you’re all having a lovely holiday season!

Also, applications are open until January 1st for the Frequency Winter Break Session. This event is geared towards individuals who are interested in launching a startup and will include live interviews and recorded content. It’s jointly hosted by Pillar VC, which funds seed-stage founders and offers a very hands-on approach to helping companies scale. Get your application in, if you’re interested.
In case you missed it…
I attended two interesting events last week. The first one was a webinar about design systems (screenshot) above, hosted by Friends of Figma. The second was a webinar about typography hosted by Erik Kennedy of Learn UI Design. Could I be a bigger design nerd? Nope, not possible. 😬
As I work on my own startup, knowing how much effort to put into design is really important. For early stage apps, poor design can hurt adoption. At the same time, spending too much time on design is silly when you’re rapidly iterating to try to find product market fit. Lately, I’ve been trying to figure out exactly what makes for “minimum viable design”.
