Launched a consulting job board
Hi everyone,
I am a freelance developer and always enjoyed working on my own ideas and side projects. Recently I explored the market for job boards and wanted to give them a try. The reason? It doesn't take long to launch one, you won't get stuck in the "develop yet another feature" loop and have to focus on marketing sooner or later, and you can actually earn some great money once they get enough traction.
So anyway, after roughly 4 weeks of work, here's my MVP:
... a job board for Strategy Consultants, Management Consultants, Financial Advisors, HR Consultants, IT Consultants, and more.
What do you think? In the next weeks, I plan to reach out to some consulting firms and ask whether they would like to let me list their jobs on my site. I will also add a search bar and some job filters to the homepage. :)

Yes, I took it down after about 6 months because it didn't get enough traction in terms of paid job posts. I also didn't find a good way to automate the job scraping.
Looks great! I'm about to launch a niche job board myself soon. I'm wondering how did you get all the job postings initially? Did you just took them from other sites? That's where I'm a bit stuck myself right now. Should I just scrape jobs? Should I reach out to companies posting elsewhere and ask them if I can post their job? I'm curious how you did it.
Hi, thank you for replying! I built my own scraper with Node.js / Puppeteer and run it manually on LinkedIn once a day. Haven't reached out to any companies yet, but I might give it a try soon. Right now I want to scrape more jobs and grow my organic search traffic. Also looking for some relevant sites in my niche to advertise my job board permanently (forums, university websites, small communities, other job boards, etc).
