Need help getting started freelancing

I'm looking for the best way to start freelance contract work, any ideas or advice please get in touch. Especially if you are doing something closer to the metal like Linux kernel/RTOS/database internals dev (as opposed to React/Node.js).

Obvious thing to do is contact my network, which I am doing, but I probably need a bigger network for that to work.

I created a services page on my portfolio. Feel free to say what you think about that.

I'm creating a list of platforms where anyone can get setup and will do a bit of a research drop on some of them. Here is the list so far:

gun. io, Upwork, Toptal, Braintrust, Unicorn .dev, Contra, Arc, Lemon .io, Freelancer, Fiverr

Get outside, networking events are your friend. Also, consider the non-tech networking events too. Sometimes its good to be the only tech guy in the room.
