How do I get attention to my product page?

Hello Hackers!

I've just joined recently, having a great time here on IH. Wanted to ask you guys for a bit of advice.

I've set up a page for the product I am working on with our team, I was wondering how do I get it out there so it can reach people? https://www.indiehackers.com/product/aaply

Thanks to all dropping a comment 🙏

You have 900 people on your wait list - I am not sure you need to get it out there much more!

If you want other ideas, try my site first100users.com.

If you mean on your product profile on IHers: make new posts and replies that are valuable so that people click through to your profile.

Share your posts on your socials, and across other accounts you own, so you can drive more followers on IHers, get upvotes and become more visible.

    Good luck.

I have been seeing Olly doing good job with First100users.com and roasting websiteS. It's a good place to understand what all places one can find their initial users.

Hey Olly! Thanks a lot for the advice :) Gonna check out your website!

Keeping engaging meaningfully and contributing on IH. People will tend to check out your profile/what you are working and that will also get them to check out your page. I am very excited about apply btw

      Thanks, Rucha! 💛

It's all 1:1 work at the beginning. Go to communities where there might be potential users. Your product is a wireframing product? Find communities with designers, devs, and DIYers, and add value there. You're at 900+ so you're probably at the point where you want to start doing testing with users and getting them to bring their friends into the beta.

Great points, Cory. We are yet to start beta, for now, we are growing 1:1 like you said, been connecting a lot with folks all around the internet in 1:1 conversations.

First of all: awesome landing page!

I would suggest looking for people who talk about the problem you are trying to solve. Are they on Reddit? Or are they located inside of a Discord? I think you know this better than me!

After defining where these people hang out, you can start interacting with them and get the word out about your project. As long as you don't spam your landing page every other message, don't worry about being "spammy."

Worst case, you've spent time with potential customers who don't want to use your product, and now you know why they aren't interested in joining the waitlist.

Best case; you've now got a direct line to your new potential customers!

Hi Twan, thanks a lot for your advice!

We're still trying to figure the Reddit out, Discord I haven't thought about 🤔
Our founder and I connect a lot with people on Twitter and PH, it's working out pretty nicely btw.

I was wondering more about how do I become more visible to people here, on IH.

Still huge thanks for sharing your thoughts, I appreciate it lots ⭐️

        You're welcome! 🚀

If Twitter and PH are working out, I think you'll do just fine on Reddit, IH, and other platforms.

The way to be more visible to people here on IH is to comment on other people's posts and connect with them, as making posts is somewhat of a "will it or will it not gain traction via upvotes?" kind of thing.

        1. 2

It feels like IH is pretty similar to PH in regards to interactions and growing in the community. Gonna keep working 💪

Very cool landing page. Another piece to consider as you get closer to beta release is getting reviews from people who write things like top 10 mobile app design tools etc. the SEO juice/value from that can be pretty good. Some of them might ask for $.

alternately starting to do articles on medium might be another great way to get in front of new audience. A lot of developers, businesses do get notified of new relevant content from medium. So, worth it to try and similar to what you do indiehackers with updates, a series of articles might really help to build up that waitlist even further.

Good luck. I have used Proto.io in the past when building my app. So, looking forward to seeing your product.

Thanks for tuning in! The article advice is really great, writing it down.
With the medium I've been trying out to reach mobile designers with a blog series about inspiration and UI analysis (things like this https://medium.com/@sonarbut/3-apps-a-week-issue-2-music-e5a3f49fbe), the blogging game is a long game though. Still, it's pretty cool!

Good luck! Happy to help. Am a digital marketer so all this is like bread and butter for me. Yeah blogging is a long game but it’s worth it. If you start it, don’t leave it coz you will have to start from scratch again 😊

Try your best to engage in conversations here on IH. Ask and answer questions on topics that you're interested in.

Your landing page looks great by the way; best of luck with the launch!

I would love to know the answer as well, I thought indiehackers community would be more active on the early stage projects

hope someone who knows answers will join this discussion 😅
