Show IH: startingcondition

https://startingcondition.com

I wrote this simple landing page (and CLI tool) to help answer "who goes first?".

Contributions are open (via github pull requests) and many languages are supported.

Used in daily stand-ups and board games.

This is a fun way to choose!

I did notice that selecting "new prompts only" actually seems to limited the prompts to a small subset of 3-4 prompts. If I uncheck it I start seeing many new ones.

thanks for checking it out! the idea behind "new prompts only" is to try to show return visitors fresh content. i could do this with cookie but not preferred.

maybe i could update the wording?

Ah I see. I did not refresh the page.

How many total conditions do you have right now? I think that wording is fine. Other wording though, could change "More" to "Reroll".

Also could move "made by contributers...", "Language", and the checkbox to bottom of page to be a bit cleaner?

This is pretty neat! Small things I noticed is sometimes I need to click twice or three times to get the prompt to change. Is this because you are doing an async request every time I click the button? One improvement might be to preload the prompts. Or if that's not possible, disabling the button after the first click to show the user that something is happening in the background.

Thanks for the feedback, Flurly! All prompts are loaded on the initial page load so I'm not sure what the UX bug you've found is, but will look into it today!
