"Platform as a government" - I am building a new political party in India

Hey everyone, this is weird huh?

From the past decades I've been complaining regarding corrupt politicians and the government officials who neither care about the country nor the people. And today I cannot stand it no more.

The problem with Indian politics is that there are not many educated or "well-qualified" politicians. That gives us citizens a disappointing option to choose among group of corrupt leaders to run the country. On the other hand, educated and super intelligent people don't even compete in the elections due to fear or hindrance. So, I am thinking of putting an end to this.

I am building a new political party - digital first, any professional can sign up to be a leader, and the only goal is to provide clear and transparent governance. You can think of it as "Platform as a government".

I am a software engineer and I have not much idea about politics - and it's very weird that an indiehacker is building a political platform. But yeah, someone has to take an initiative instead of complaining later. And, if any of you guys have any experience in politics - please guide me to take the right steps. Here are some of my initial thoughts that I am considering:

What's the plan?

The plan is to create a digital platform where professionals can sign up to be leaders (compete in the upcoming election). These people undergo rating from people to ensure that we don't get the wrong person in the leadership.

How do you choose the leaders?

The answer is I don't. It's up to the people to choose who is the best contestant for their constituency and the highest rated person would be the one to compete in the elections.

Will it work?

If I'm being honest, I think that people are standing up for their country. India needs good leadership and technology could help us achieve that.

Will you compete in the elections?

Who gets to compete in elections is decided by the people on the platform.

What's the name of the party?

Currently I am thinking of "Vande Bharat" but actively looking for better name too. Please comment down if you guys have a good name for a digital-first political party

Why did you decide to build this?

The current covid-19 situation in India could have been handled way better if we had better leadership. I could not stand quiet no more after looking at thousands of people die in the arms of loved ones failing to get required medical help. It was heart clenching to look at and I need to do whatever in my capacity to ensure that we elect better leaders - a leader who cares. A platform as a government could work and also act as an inspiration to many countries as well, wouldn't it?
