I've recently been going both ways with thread-to-newsletter, and newsletter-to-thread -

When I publish a newsletter, I pull a few nuggets from it and publish those as a twitter thread (one example here - https://twitter.com/irreverentmike/status/1574407128370106370) Those tend to help me scoop up a few subscribers to my newsletter, and generally get a signal boost from the products and accounts I'm featuring in my newsletter.

I've also written some detailed threads recently, which I grab and stick into newsletters - this is one that I'll be re-using for my next dispatch: https://twitter.com/irreverentmike/status/1572578104434110471

I've found both can work really well, and it helps me double the use of a single bit of writing. Super helpful!

Reusing tweets is so underrated. Like you say, look back at your most successful tweets, 3-6-12 months ago. Slightly tweak them.

Those have drastically helped me grow my audience over time. Not at your level yet, but growing about 2-4% organically over the past months.

Slow momentum, but it'll build a flywheel sooner than later.
