5 Lessons from my Hyper TikTok Growth

Almost all my followers emerged in the last 2/3 months. Even though I've had the platform since 2019. Here's what I learned from recent hypergrowth.

  1. TikTok isn't different from any other platform
The way people communicate is different but the way you grow remains the same. Provide value, consistently. Curate, create, and document.

  2. Have fun
TikTok makes other platforms look so serious. What you love should be fun. That's the first point of entry for people to join your community. It is where people are happy and having fun.

  3. Ignore the noise
Yes, there is a lot of questionable content on TikTok. Welcome to the internet. Curate your feed deliberately.

  4. Focus on your niche
I post tech and indie maker content. There are communities of people interested in that content. There will always be. Don't compare your content and following to dancers and musicians

  5. Engage
It's either to create or be a passive follower. Engage with popular content and the comments section. Ask questions and show real interest in the community

Just a few insights. What have you learned from TikTok?
