Website performance

I’ve been a long-time lurker and only recently signed up for Indie Hackers. Something that strikes me frequently when visiting the site is its poor performance.

I’m on a decent connection (around 400 Mbps down) and still get slow page loads.
It isn’t a deal breaker for me, but perhaps other people in the community on slower networks have trouble with this.

I understand that now the platform has become indie again it isn’t priority number one.
I feel it would make the community more accessible to those with poor network connections.

If anyone has investigated the issue I’d love to discuss it. I haven’t dived in myself, just wanted to bring it up.
