How to make sure Instagram post isn't blurred?

I tried making the resolution higher, DPI, scaling to fit, JPEG. But it still looks blurry / low resolution-like.
How can I make the profile picture I upload and other pictures look better?

I think youll have to give a link, but it may be your display/internet connection/original image is blurry

  It seems that instagram is pretty serious about compressing the image + I viewed it in a large desktop screen.
