BIP #6 Picking a skill for my freelance biz👩🏽‍💻

While I have not achieved much as a freelancer, I've passed the 'learn a skill' stage and it took a lot to finally decide on a skill.

I've acquired a lot of skills over the years as a studentpreneur and choosing just one to master & offer as a freelancer proved to be very difficult.

Here are the skills/services I considered before finally deciding on Newsletter Writing:
-Social media management

  • Building landing pages
  • Data analysis
  • Virtual Assistance
  • Dubsado CRM set up
  • Video editing
  • Content creation

OMG! That's a lot!🫢

Anyways, I went back and forth and back again before deciding on newsletter writing.

I'm glad I did 'cause I love getting SaaS newsletters in my inbox and interacting them.

Now that I've picked a skill/service, I'm practicing the skill (copywriting) to build my portfolio and get clients.

With that said, it's important to pick a skill based on your strengths and interests.

I'm prone to being a superfan and I LOVE newsletters. So, being a newsletter writer (for SaaS) seemed like the skill that suited me best.

All in all, do you!

I think?
