Indie Hackers, what would you like to know about running outbound sales emails successfully?

I'm putting together a brief presentation drawing on my experiences of closing B2B deals that start with a series personalised outbound emails.

I've noticed that indie hackers steer away from this channel for a variety of reasons and as a result, they miss out on some of the lowest hanging fruit and best customers.

And I feel that I got pretty good at this in a past life, as the founder of a funded company that closed deals with companies including Pizza Hut, Just Eat, GoCompare and others, setting up some really simple yet effective processes on the way.

While I have my own ideas of what is helpful, I'd love to hear from the community:

  • What stops you sending outbound sales emails?
  • What would you like to know about how to run an effective outbound sales campaign?
  1. 1

Spam filters & email domain health.

How to position your messaging around business impacts & not by your product features.

  2. 1

Did you focus more on building relationship when sending your cold emails, or were you focused more on going in for the sale?
