Smigster, my 1/12 project this year, matches your text to a random and relevant photo

smigster

Hi all,

I'm not a web dev, technically, but IH has been a very inspiring place to hang out on and has lead me to commit to making 12 projects this year. And since we're in January, the time when new year resolutions are still being kept, here's my first project of the year: smigster.

The app let's you type in a short piece of text, and composites it on top of a random, royalty free, and potentially relevant photo.

That's it! It's mainly a toy, but I've learned a lot in the process. I'm happy to answer any questions about how it's made if anyone is into it.

Happy weekend!
