Hi ecommerce indiehackers,
I came across an interesting report (https://www.powerreviews.com/insights/2021-ugc-conversion-impact-analysis/) that shows the conversion impact from different interactions with customer reviews and wanted discuss it more.
Most shoppers use product reviews for social proof as, while some could look for specific information about personal needs (fitting/comfort for clothing etc.). So review information needs to be easily accessible and digestible for consumers and becomes challenging for 100s or 1000s of reviews.
I know Amazon has tag-based reviews that allows the customers to filter content to their personal needs.
While this is common on Amazon and Google restaurant reviews, lot of the shopify stores do not these functionalities like tags, semantic search or
a summary of all reviews into few topics.
Is there a tool for adding this? do you feel this will help drive conversion if customers can find relevant reviews sooner?
Okay I decided to build this. currently connecting with e-commerce owners to get feedback, please check out the concept webpage here if anyone's interested: https://www.voichub.com/smart-filters
