For audio recording, I use Audacity, which is free and open-source. You could also try Descript, which gives you next-level audio and video editing.
To host my podcast, I use Anchor. It's great if you need something quick and easy. They also have an integration with wp.com to easily create a podcasting website.
Podchaser.com can help you grow and manage a podcast community.
Thanks for asking this one Rosie. The setup for Beyond Normal is laid out below:
scheduling: calendly
website: wix
recording: streamyard
camera: Camo Studio
hosting: buzzsprout
social media: later.com
I'm working on a solution to help podcasters to "run the show" at their podcast. It would be great to have some feedback from this audience on the solution. The focus is making it easier for podcasters to record have great conversations and record dope content.
What platforms do you guys use to monetize your pods (like find sponsors/affiliates or run dynamic ads)? I know some hosting sites like Buzzsprout and Anchor have ad marketplaces built in. Are they any good?
I'm not sure about Buzzsprout, but Anchor only allows monetisation in the US which is unfortunate. People keep asking them for wider support, but they're very quiet on supporting anyone outside of the US.
As a hobby, I have this podcast with a friend https://tmmwith.us, and this is what we use:
To record the podcast in high quality, we use this website: https://riverside.fm/. I would not recommend https://iris.fm/ since it is buggy, and we lost the high-quality version of one episode. And the support was prolonged.
For video editing, I use Davinci Resolve since it supports eGPUs, and since I have two of them, I render the whole episode quite quickly.
My microphone is a Rode VideoMic NTG, no idea what my friend uses.
In the Wannabe Entrepreneur Pod I use a dynamic mic from AKG with a pop filter to record, Redcircle and my hosting platform and logic pro to edit and zencastr for the interviews
Not a podcaster but this is a great guide from @mijustin that I know people have found very helpful: https://transistor.fm/how-to-start-a-podcast

I've been on many podcasts over the past months and we also launched our Creators on Air podcast (https://www.buzzsprout.com/2010657) recently.
This is our / a typical tech stack:
Record: Iris FM
Editing: Cleanvoice AI + Audacity + Auphonic
Publish: Transistor FM
Great topic which has come up a few times this week so I’ll do mine here (then maybe a blog post to elaborate later)
I never realised how many services I use until I outlined that. Look forward to seeing what others use.
