Do you need a T&C and a Privacy Policy to launch an app?

Hi everyone! New to this group and I'm looking for some advice on my project. I'm planning to launch an app that will allow people to track their workout routines and share them with others.

To use the app, you'd have to create an account with your email and password. Following on, you can create workout routines and update/track your routine.

I wanted to check if anyone could advise me on whether we must have T&Cs/Privacy policy before we can even launch the app? We're not even a limited company/Sole trader yet.

    Hi Abrar,
yes, you do want to have T&Cs and Privacy policy. This is not just for the end-users but also for yourself too.

There is a number of generators (at least to start with) e.g. iubenda.com, but if you happen to talk to anyone who got into trouble because of T&Cs or so, they would advise to hire a lawyer to go over your T&Cs at least, to make sure you are covered.

And also GDPR if you will have users from EU (UK adheres to GDPR so far). Even just email is recognised as a personal information.

Thanks @sotak! iubenda looks quite interesting and I'll read up more about it.

By any chance is there a beginner's 101 guide for what we need to consider for launching a pilot app?
