How to grow an open source blog?

Hello IHers,

I'm working on growing a blog focused on the developer audience. And the project lives on GitHub so that anyone can participate and contribute.

It has been a few weeks, and the traffic is picking up - now around ~1k monthly users.

You can view the blog here: https://compile7.org/decompile/

Any recommendations, tips, and hacks for growing the blog?

I don't have any thoughts about monetizing it. I want to make it a cool project for developers to participate in and contribute to.

My focus is to gain SEO and growth skills by getting my hands dirty so I can use these skills for future projects.

If you are interested in doing some joint-blogging with our OpenMetal team, we are looking for writers to work with our engineers to develop some additional educational articles around open source, OpenStack, etc. Reach out to me if interested.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to explore this collaboration opportunity for now. Anyways, thanks for reaching out, @tjmo :)

I think it would be great if you can create some posts on dev.to and medium. You can share you blog there.

Find popular open source blogs and cold email them asking if they'll carry some of your articles :)
