An Under the Radar Way to Grow a Podcast

Last year, my wife and I finally pursued an idea for a productized service that I'd sat on for a few years. I spun up a landing page and outlined how it would work in a day. Content Remix was born.

We take podcast episodes and turn them into well-written articles. We got our first clients using her connections as a full-time freelance writer for nine years. Since then, we've had dozens of customers, many of them ongoing relationships. Our team of writers are excellent at distilling episodes and writing exceptional articles covering all the key points. We're still iterating on the process and the offering, but it feels good to have it out there and get positive feedback from customers.

We just recently started sharing about Content Remix on Twitter. No paid advertisement of any kind, all word-of-mouth currently. This is the first post about it outside of tweets.

Just a few of the pros of content repurposing, specifically podcast episodes to articles:

  • Content for a newsletter
  • Content for a blog
  • SEO upside
  • Ability to charge more for ads by providing a link to the advertiser where you post the article online
  • Easily shareable on social

Going from podcast to article format makes your podcast more discoverable.

I wanted to put our service on your radar if anyone is interested. Please visit contentremix.com or hit me in the replies with any questions if you want to learn more.

Great idea. Content repurposing and redistribution is the top method to grow a brand. A lot of podcasters don’t realize the true potential of their content. The ones that do, make a killing.

    Kudos, mate.

Thanks, and I agree about many podcasters not realizing the true potential of their content. The ones using our service are surprised at the number of new eyeballs they get with offering an episode in another format. Show notes are alright, but with a narrative driven article you get much more mileage out of an episode.
