How to market a web3 project?

Hey everyone!

A few weeks ago I built a web3 project, but I realized this after launching:

  • Product Hunt is somewhat skeptical about crypto
  • Hacker News probably just hates crypto altogether
  • Twitter seems to be the place the web3 crowd hangs at, but many web3 projects on Twitter use paid shills / fake followers / fake engagement / overall shady tactics and fomo – and it's difficult to break through that noise
  • Discord groups feel a bit like Twitter, plus it's difficult to know what the best servers are

The result is the product launch didn't get much attention. It feels as if it was launched to the wrong audience. Like PH/HN/etc is not the place for web3 projects. I've talked with other makers building web3 projects, and they feel similarly about it.

Has anyone faced something similar? How should we launch web3 projects?

    hey rameerez,

I think you can promote it to discord servers or the communities where your target market is in.

Btw, are you buildspace alumni? I think I saw your project somewhere. hahaha

Indeed I am! I'm happy to hear you saw my project going around.
