Behind the Screens: The People Powering the No-Code Movement

I'm Tom, and since 2020, I've been part of the No-Code & AI movement with my startups. I wanted to share a story about a side project crafted from Cluee.app (which is an automatic activity-tracking tool designed for No-Code developers). This story is not only about the product we've built but also about the power of the supportive No-Code community worldwide. I am from Poland, but this story touches both Europe and Africa. Keep reading if you are interested in how we may cooperate without boundaries 🌍

Last year, I received an email from Foluso.

Imgur

Foluso, one of the early Cluee.app users and inspired by apps like Wakatime, proposed creating a community-driven experience around Cluee.app, leading to the development of the project called "No-Code Leaderboard". This feature should allow no-code devs to track their activity (which was already available in Cluee.app), and share this data on a community leaderboard. He offered to dedicate a few hours during nights and weekends to contribute his expertise and make this feature a reality 🔥

This initiative was a collaborative effort, with Foluso leading the drafting of version one of the platform using our existing technology and his experience.

Here's a more detailed breakdown of the project development in bullet points, simplified for clarity:

  • We used No-Code tools for the entire development of Cluee.app, combining the powers of Bubble.io for the user interface and XANO as the No-Code backend. So the new project was also built using the same "no-code stack".
  • I initiated the project by creating a new Bubble application, specifically tailored for this project, and connected it with our Cluee.app's backend through additional API calls I set up in XANO.
  • After setting the groundwork, Foluso stepped in to develop the first version of the app using Bubble, applying his expertise to bring the concept to life.
  • This new application extends the functionality of Cluee.app but operates under a different domain. Despite this, it shares the same user base and backend, showcasing the flexibility of Bubble & XANO.

Our project was a side venture, meticulously built during our nights and weekends. This effort not only enhanced the Cluee.app ecosystem but also demonstrated the practicality and potential of No-Code in creating complex, user-centric applications.

Today, we're excited to launch https://nocodeleaderboard.com, adding some gamification to the No-Code development world and showcasing it to the community.

This story highlights the essence of collaboration within the entire no-code space, proving that together, we can create tools that not only serve individual needs but also bring us closer as people 🤝

Foluso is just one of the many cool folks I met in no-code world making things better for all of us. And this story is all about what happens when we come together to build something new. In a world full of anger, bad emotions, and a lot of conflicts, it shows that we should work together across continents, nations, despite our differences, to do good.

And this is the story I wanted to share. Let me know if you like it as much as I do.

love that your story but tell me one thing if i created an app using nocode frontend an nocode backend and after some time my users gonna be increases then . is that any problem with there backend

    1. 1

Depending on the backend. We use Xano.com which is super powerful and can handle a lot!

I'm glad I sent you that email after tinkering about it for a while.

And your wholesome and very receptive answer was all I needed, I guess that's the beauty of the community. I'm appreciative of the privilege to have worked with you, and I'm sure the community is even more grateful for such a tool.
