CMV: A "microstartup" is nothing more than applying the small business concept to the tech field...

... and therefore a fancy but misleading term.

I'm aware that we may not even define startup the same way (I'd generally go with Blank's “temporary organization designed to search for a repeatable and scalable business model” definition), so feel free to include what you consider a startup (is it recency of founding? growth in a PG way? innovativeness?).

I can see the "micro" aspect (small team, scarce resources), but solving a problem and charging enough money for it to live off it sounds like what's been happening forever with small businesses, why call it a startup?

Looking forward to discuss, change my view!
