Oh coool. Love the hack-around on Carrd to get a blog going. I tried something similar with some custom code and the Wordpress API, but hacky too and you got to edit on WP instead of directly on Carrd.

Also, curious to hear your thought on this - Dropinblog? Looks like might work for Carrd...

      Nice example! :)

Dropinblog seems to be a solution also, but pretty pricey :/

Would love to brain storm with other people on how to create a great blog experience in Carrd.

Pricey indeed. Makers gotta make a living, i guess...

I'd not come across much elegant (native) solutions for Carrd blogs, other than your's and AJ's tbh...

A bit late to the party! But I'm building something that competes directly. Have a search on Google for Quickblog @Ryden @jasonleow

Sweet Man! Im in love with Carrd. Love how you monetized this.

Would you have any ideas on how to organize Vidoe Content on Carrd? Im trying to help a Church out with their video recorded Sermons and want to give them a unique and clean way of doing this. They produce content based on what Book of the Bible they are on i.ee. Matthew , Mark etc. So I was thinking of doing it this way . Any tips or tricks in Carrd that can produce a drop Down effect

    Example:

Visitor of the site clicks on drop menu "Matthew" Content drops down.

You can embed youtube videos or upload your own videos in Carrd with the "video element".

Regarding the drop down, there's no native function for this so it would have to be handled with some custom code.

I've solved this with some custom code on some different FAQ sections, (when you press the question the answer dropsdown below), you can check it out here for example: https://flightflight.carrd.co/

DM on Twitter if you want more info about this.

Looks great, Martin. Love the mobile layout - I know lots of people who blog and don’t necessarily need RSS capability.

      Thank you Sean! :)
Yeah Carrd has some limitations for creating a full fledged blog...
But I still wanted to create something that could be useful for people.
As you say, for people that just want do short updates about a project or journaling and don't need a RSS capability, this could be a good solution.

Hi there. I'm a founder of Pubray (https://pubray.com) - a blogging platform that recently got capable of embedding entire blogs, sections or single pages in a similar way to how DropInBlog (mentioned by @jasonleow below) does it, but with some unique features (PWA, mailing, RSS, paid content, Markdown sync with GitHub/Dropbox, push notifications...) at a fraction of the price (traffic based, starting at $4/mo).

It's a cool option for blogging on Carrd since it employs a technique that I'm calling "adaptive styling" in order to look nice out of the box on websites that only do styling via website-specific CSS classes (e.g. Carrd, CSS-in-JS builders).

Here's how my Pubray-hosted website (https://cloudless.studio) looks after being embedded on Carrd: http://cloudless-studio.carrd.co

Let me know what you think - Pubray is still early stage so any feedback will be appreciated.
