What's your thoughts on using Fathom analytics over GA?

Hey guys, so maybe you are aware of @pjrvs latest product: https://usefathom.com/ ?

I'm thinking to move to it. I like the principle that you don't need all those private data to work and I'm looking for something simpler and lighter that GA.

Basically I just need to know:

⇢ Unique visits
⇢ Avg time on site
⇢ Bounce rate
⇢ Where are they from (referrers)
⇢ Content they browse
⇢ Goal completions
⇢ Device Type
⇢ Browser
⇢ Country

The cool think as well with Fathom is that it's 100% GDPR compliant even though my users are not European based, it's still a cool thing. No cookie needed.

Now my only concern is that we used AG (still using it) for a long time, and have lot of data that I would like to keep and I'm not sure I can import those over to Fathom (I've asked the support already about it).

So, what's your thoughts on moving away from GA with a lighter and simpler tool?

Hey Paul, yeah sure that a solution. I suppose you guys don't plan on an export system :). Thanks anyways, we definitely going to move over.

It's all good. I'm happy to get out of Google spider web anyways :). And give our members more control over their data.
