Edtech Product Scholarships?

Hello,

I'm the owner of https://efit.software. It's software designed for physical education/kinesiology classes. Right now, my focus is on colleges. Professors require this as part of their classes, just as they would require a textbook.

I would like to offer X number of free subscriptions to students in need. Any suggestions or ideas on how I could go about doing this? I realize I could set up a scholarship fund with individual colleges but was considering accepting the applications in-house.

  1. If I take that route, what criteria would you require?
  2. What information would you collect to be used in making the decision of who gets free access and who doesn't?
  3. How many scholarships would you give away to a school, if for example, they have 1000 students using the software?
