Elon Musk is threatened to pay 30% Apple Tax
Elon Musk claims that Apple has threatened to “withhold” Twitter from the iOS App Store for unknown reasons.
Well this is not something new, many developers, including Fortnite creator Epic Games, have also called out Apple's 30% commission over the years.
Apple 30% cut is so controversial that it is being discussed in multiple parliaments around the world. And even South Korean government has to step in and formulate a law on how should app store and their payment gateway going to work.

App store cuts generates huge revenue for Apple and Google. They are not going to change unless governments around the world steps in and force them to fix some lower percentage and open the App store for 3rd party payment gateway.
Recently Google was fined in India for misusing ranking system to prefer Google's own apps.
Google pay fines everywhere around the world. They pay it and move on to keep doing same thing.
There should be universal laws regarding how OS companies should charge and operate App stores.

Hopefully this results in app developers getting a choice of payment processors.
30% percent is huge margin and if Apple or Google is not providing server for hosting app backend then it unnecessary to charge high percentage.
