Any strategies (or real-world examples) for successful rebrands?

I'm considering rebranding my company.

It's a pretty big deal, as we are five years old and have more than 500 clients.

Any successful rebrands I should study before deciding how to proceed?

    Hi Nick! It all depends on why you're re-branding and what you want to achieve.
    What do you feel isn't successful about your brand right now?

      Mostly it's that the brand name prompts more questions than it answers.

      Though I didn't set out to do this, my business has really become all about me. I've tried pivoting away from that, but I think I need to ride this model out until it doesn't work anymore. And if my books tell any story, it's that I have a lot of room left to grow.

      That said, my brand name is unique and (I think) creates this illusion of a product or a system, when my comparative advantage is and has always been the personal touch I add to my clients' projects.

      So I'd rather be more of a consulting firm. I think it's more direct and will boost my conversion rate. It also sets me apart from a million other competitors.

      I sum it up like this: Why do I have a brand name when my clients just want to talk to me personally? It just gets in the way.

        This is a super interesting (and great!) problem to have, and as you rightly identify really depends on where you want to take things. However, it doesn't sound like you need to 'get rid' of the brand name, especially if you eventually want it to grow bigger than just you, but that your personal brand is doing really well so maybe that's the piece to focus on. Instead of a 'rebrand' maybe look at it as just touching up your personal brand and then you can come back to the other one when it's appropriate?
