In 2023, I choose to be kind to myself and so should you. Here are the tools to do it.

With every end of the year, social media (and Indie hackers ?)becomes flooded with accomplishment posts of people sharing how much money they made, their newest job, or the number of books they read.

Consuming all of this humble bragging content makes it easy to feel inferior, exasperated, and frustrated.

I know I did. But then I remembered all the efforts I pulled and thought that in 2023, I should be kinder to myself.

I decided to try positive affirmations and so should you.

What are positive affirmations?

Simply put, positive affirmations are positive words and sentences you tell yourself. repeating them repeatedly will change your mood and avoid negative thoughts.

The theory behind these statements is backed by science so don’t roll your eyes at me!

Here’s a list of the best tools to motivate yourself and boost your confidence.

Best places for positive affirmations :

1 Unimind

Think of Unimind as your second mind.

Besides the motivational quotes that you get every time you open a new tab and the minimalistic design. Unimind has everything you need from goals, post-it notes, and quick links.

The combination between productivity and motivation works like magic. And the quirky design makes using it fun without being distracting.

2 Be mindful.

I like be-mindful for two things. 1) its interface is reminiscent of the good ol’ days of the internet. 2) the sheer amount of positive affirmations you can find on it.

3 Your daily affirmations.

Your daily affirmations is an extension that shows you different positive affirmations every time you open a new tab. It has a black background and the date and date.

It’s simple and does the job.

4 Quotes new tab.

This one shows you a motivational quote and the person who said it in the background.

That said, the extension also has two social sharing buttons that might lure you into using social media.

5 Tab for a cause.

Instead of quotes, each time you open your tab you get an ad to watch. The profit then goes to charities.

It might seem counterintuitive but hey, what’s more uplifting than knowing you’re helping people in need?

6 Delight.

Sometimes all you need to find your momentum is a break. That’s where delight kicks in.

With delight, each time you open your new tab you get a breathtaking nature video to watch. Delight offers quotes you can enable in the settings if you want more than videos.

7 Affirmations flow.

If you know the type of affirmations that work on you (which is good, know thyself…). You can use ‘Affirmations flow’ to display your own positive quotes on your tab.

Wrapping up :
There you have it, 7 tried and tested positive affirmations tools.

Tell us which one you prefer in the comments. We’d love to hear from you.
