Gumroad vs WPForms + Stripe - which should I use?
I wrote an eBook that teaches beginners about how the Kalman Filter algorithm works along with how to implement it in Python. With all of the above being considered, I feel myself wanting to use Amazon KDP, or Gumroad, or : WP Forms + Stripe . What are the pros/cons?

Huge fan of gumroad for ease of use and speed.
As a few other hackers have mentioned it's optimal for testing and validation.

Gumroad, it makes it easier to get started. Once you have scale, you can always switch over.
Well, gumroad and stripe are different. Meaning, gumroad is a merchant or record and will properly handle taxes for you, while stripe is a payment processor that will not (though stripe has integrations that can help).

When you say "properly handle taxes"...does that infer that I need to have an LLC or another business entity?

Gumroad when you are just starting and testing.
So the one thing I like about having my own webpage is the customization/data recording aspect. Although, I am still learning these things, I feel like I can test more with my own wordpress page rather than a Gumroad page. Can I collect user behavior data/conversion metrics on Gumroad?
You can embed Gumroad checkout in external pages. Not sure if you can track the Gumroad button click or not on your web page.
But you can also track your Google Analytics on Gumroad page also directly

I would suggest you to have you own external page and just use Gumroad as a popup checkout (checkout happens on same external page) or just redirect to Gumroad page simply.
That is what I have done for Micro SaaS Ideas Pro subscription The button just simply sends to Gumroad page.

I took a look at your Gumroad page, what did you use to create all of your visuals/graphics (not sure what the right term is but I think you get the point!)
If you want to set that up quickly - Gumroad.
KDP - if you want to target Amazon's audience
I'd think you may use both in parallel.
Have you used KDP?
I imagine there is overlap in the audience but that Amazon will work in my favor to serve it up to customers who buy similar products
Use stripe and www.getrevin.com
Go with Gumroad. Simpler. IMO perfect for "physical" (ie. not service) products like eBooks, courses, etc.
Alternatively, Paddle! You have subscriptions and one time products. A bit cheaper than Gumroad so more money for you.
