How to sell on Shopify?

I'm interested to learn how I can sell something on Shopify without dropshipping.

I know dropshipping cuts down the profit margins and also subjects customers to long shipping days, so I'd want to keep the inventory close to me.

I have the following concern when selling on Shopify?

  1. How do I delegate the logistics?
I don't want to pack boxes and ship every day to customers. Is there a service where it handles the logistic part for my product?

  2. Should I bake in the shipping charges or charge the user for it?
What has been your experience in charging cost on a low-cost product $25. Are people reluctant to pay?

  3. What would be the best marketing advice you'd give when opening up your very own first store?

This is my first time starting up a store on Shopify so I appreciate it if I could get any general advice in relation to starting an online store on Shopify.

I am a Shopify app developer. My app is optimizing seo. Though I don't run my own store now (failed once for a small project), I keep a close eye to the market. Hope my opinion is useful for you:

    1. Yes, this is called fulfillment service. You can find a service provider to deal with everything between new orders and the product reaching customer hands. Amazon also provides FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon)

    2. Usually, merchants use a good tactic - free shipping above certain order amount.

    3. If you have no experience, you may probably have have-traffic-no-sales problem (low conversion rate).

Nowadays, ecom is super competitive. You need to find a profitable niche before starting. Do your research & marketing plan. Marketing costs like Facebook ads are very expensive now. You have to find a channel with lower cost, otherwise you can hardly make money.

Thousands of merchants are deadly asking for help on Shopify community. You can take a look to have a taste
